Pioneer 79 get Micro League Campaign under way

Round 1 of Pioneer 79's 2016 Micro League campaign took place at the Dunes in Southport in March.  The Micro League is a nationwide competition split into Regions, Pioneer have competed in the top division in the North West Region for the past 8 years.  The competition is for children aged between 9-12 and consists of a mixture of individual and relay events.

Round 1 Results:
Leyland - 1st - 150 points
Southport - 2nd - 140 points
Pioneer 79 - 3rd - 109 points
Garston - 4th - 85 points

Our Micro League team this year have been kindly sponsored by Southerns Solicitors, a banner has been produced, along with TShirts displaying their logo.  The children wear the TShirts with pride during the competition.
