Baylie wins 'Hyndburn Young Achiever Award' 2016

Congratulations to 12 year old Baylie Seery-Kelly who has tonight been awarded with the title of 'Young Achiever of the Year' at the 2016 Hyndburn Sports Awards.

The Hyndburn Community Sports Awards is a celebration of local sporting achievements from athletes, coaches, volunteers, teams, clubs and schools across Hyndburn and is organised by Hyndburn Leisure, this year is the 13th year.  This year's event took place this evening at Accrington Town Hall.

Baylie swims in Pioneer 79's 'B' Squad and her achievements over the past 12 months have been recognised by the judges.  The award 'Young Achiever of the Year' is awarded to the most talented performers across the district, who show exceptional dedication to their sport and have the potential to perform at the highest level.

As a category winner, Baylie will now progress onto the Lancashire Sports Awards where all the winners from every Community in Lancashire will congregate, the judges will then award the most outstanding the title of 'Lancashire's Young Achiever of the Year'.  We wish her the very best of luck.
